Jason D. Lewis’s experience in both state and federal courts relates primarily to representation of governmental entities from employment discrimination, civil rights, and general liability claims. Mr. Lewis also defends physicians and long-term care facilities. His practice further includes general insurance defense. Mr. Lewis was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2006. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and in the State and Superior Courts of Georgia.
Mr. Lewis graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in History with a minor in Chemistry from Mercer University (2000) and Magna Cum Laude with a J.D. from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law (2006). In law school, he was a member of the Mercer Law Review and served as the Student Writing Editor. He also participated as a member of the the Georgia Intrastate Moot Court Team and was a member of Brainerd F. Currie Honor Society. Mr. Lewis’ professional involvement includes membership in the Macon Bar Association, the Bootle Inn of Court, the American Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
